Samples of Engagement

The NE LHIN believes that engaged communities are healthy communities. We welcome the opportunity to speak with community leaders and engage in round table discussions on local health care priorities and solutions. The following are selected community engagement initiatives we've held over the past several months.


Wawa

Community Engagement in Wawa August 4th, staff from the NE LHIN were in Wawa, speaking about NE LHIN health care investments and gathering input on how to ensure local NE LHIN investments are best aligned with the people who live there.

North Bay

Blind River

Blind River Community Engagement

Area residents were invited by the NE LHIN to participate in a health care discussion held June 29 in Blind River at the Blind River District Health Centre.


Sault Ste. Marie

Area residents were invited by the NE LHIN to participate June 28 in a discussion at Sault College on how health care is delivered and experienced in the Sault Ste. Marie area.

Little Current - Manitoulin Island

The NE LHIN invited residents to a discussion held June 27 of health care on Manitoulin Island. The community engagement session was held at the NEMI Community Centre in Little Current.

Cochrane

 Local voices joined a NE LHIN discussion of health care in the Cochrane area at the Ininew Friendship Centre on June 22.

Kirkland Lake

Kirkland Lake Community Engagement Northern College in Kirkland Lake was the site of the NE LHIN’s June 22 community engagement discussion of health care investments and opportunities in the Kirkland Lake area.

Englehart

The NE LHIN invited members  of the Englehart community to participate in a discussion of health care on June 21 at the Rebekah Lodge. Englehart Community Engagement

Sturgeon Falls Community Engagement A discussion of health care in the Sturgeon Falls area, convened by the NE LHIN, attracted residents of that area to voice their opinions.
