Funding and Accountability

LHINs assumed full responsibility for planning, funding and integrating health services in Northeastern Ontario on April 1, 2007.

Using a phased approach, the North East LHIN has signed multi-year Accountability Agreements with each of the providers it funds. These Agreements outline the obligations and responsibilities of both the providers and the LHIN and the amount of funding allocated to individual providers.
