Update – January, 2010

The second wave of H1N1  has wound down. The NE LHIN would like to thank our region’s more than 200 health service providers and public health units who worked collaboratively with us to share information, develop region-wide preparedness plans and take the time and energy needed to meet the health care needs of people and patients within North East Ontario.

The development and implementation of the NE LHIN Critical Care H1N1 Surge Plan was effective from a system-wide perspective and time will now be spent to review the plan and incorporate lessons-learned into for the future.

During the second wave, the Critical Care H1N1 Surge Action Task Force met twice weekly to provide a strong foundation from which to monitor and ensure the effective implementation of the region-wide surge plan.

Emerging information and relevant links will continue to be posted to this web page and we invite you to visit often.
