Nurse Peer eHealth Network (NPEN)
What is the Nurse Peer eHealth Network (NPEN)?
This Network of Nurses was formed with the sole purpose of wanting to communicate more effectively and engage with our NE LHIN Nurses regarding eHealth.
NPEN meets by teleconference a few times per year in order to connect with Nurses about current eHealth initiatives in the North East and also to gain nursing insight and build on their expertise for needs and wants on the front-line of health care! This is simply an opportunity to have your voice heard and stay current with eHealth projects going on within the NE LHIN.
Nurses within the North East LHIN are ready to embrace and integrate valuable technology into their clinical practices to help them deliver patient care safely and efficiently across the continuum. This is evidenced by the RNAO statistics which demonstrate that NE LHIN nurses are participating in greater numbers even over the summer months in taking the online RNAO eHealth for Every Nurse Certificate course so there is no better time to get involved and work together!

The North East LHIN eHealth Project Management Office and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario s Nurse Peer Leader for the North East, Carol Cameletti, are working together to bring eHealth awareness to all nursing communities of practice in the North East LHIN region.
As a part of this, a Nurse Peer eHealth Network is being formed whereby we encourage any of you, who are interested in eHealth and who would like to be a part of our newly-formed Nurse Peer eHealth Network to simply provide us with your contact information or provide us with a topic suggestion.
